I have had a lot of demand for newborn shoots, which I normally do in my studio. But I decided to try some in the comfort of the client's home on their beautiful couch and I love the results. It is something a little different from my usual newborn style.
This is one of my favourite quotes which is a big reason why I am so passionate about photography and I could not have put it so eloquently;
"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce." - Karl Lagerfeld Please note, while Caramel Kisses Photography specialises in family photography, I do corporate head shots as well. Please contact me to discuss your needs and pricing.
Inside the studio, beautiful photos can be taken at anytime of the day. For outdoor photo shoots, the best time of day is early morning (before 10am) and before sunset. Around the middle of the day the sun shines bright overhead and creates shadows and glare. Unfortunately most of my subjects are little people who are at their best when the sun is at its worst. If your child doesn't cope well with early evenings, we can still take photos earlier in the day and utilise shade and flash lighting to assist. However, the lighting is best later in the day and will noticeably affect the results. While this may not work for everyone, it can help to ensure your children are well fed and try letting them have a nap later in the day. Feel free to contact me to discuss your individual needs.
I have received feedback from clients that they prefer to receive their images in digital format, providing the freedom to print and share them as they wish. For this reason, my packages include a DVD with your selected images in high resolution format. You are able to take your images where ever you like and can print as many copies as you like without any restrictions.
There are many budget photo labs in department chains, offering cheap prints. It may be tempting to try and save some costs on your prints. I had a client contact me recently and she showed me an image she had printed at a budget photo lab. She was naturally concerned that the colours looked oversaturated and unnatural. I too was concerned how the image looked as it looked nothing at all like it did on the screen. I had a sneaking suspicion it was to do with the photo lab that was used. I had the same image printed by a professional photo lab and it looked fabulous - the colours looked soft and natural and it looked like it did on the screen. The client was relieved and will be taking her images in to a professional photo lab to be redone. I would urge clients to go to a professional photo lab to have prints done, even if it costs a little extra. The difference in quality can be considerable and when you are paying for a professional photographer, it is important that your final prints look professional. If you would like for me to arrange prints for you, please let me know and I would be happy to provide you with a price list. That way you can be sure that the images you receive will be of a high standard. |
